Este viernes 24 de agosto de 2018 se llevará a cabo la Sexagésima Quinta Sesión del Seminario Interno FEN donde se exponen trabajos en progreso de académicos y avances de tesis de estudiantes.

Título: "The impact of Domestic and Foreign Competition on Innovation: evidence for Latin American firms"

Abstract: The relationship between competition and innovation is everything but clear, more so when the source of competition, either domestic or foreign, is taken into account. Using firm-level data from international surveys conducted for the manufacturing and service sector of various Latinamerican countries we study the relationship between competition and innovation, while taking into account the differences between the sources (domestic firms or foreign firms) of competition. We also test if there are heterogenous effects related to the different mechanisms of technical change inherent to different industries.
